Jeanene is excited to join the MelRoe’s dance family!
Jeanene is a 250 Hour Yoga Certified Teacher with a focus in Vinyasa Yoga. She has been teaching classes for the last 20 years in the fields of dance, fitness, behavioral health and yoga.
Jeanene grew up dancing on competition teams in her hometown just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. She began teaching dance at age 16 and choreographing her studios top dance team at the age of 18. She taught in the field of dance for 15 years before transitioning into fitness and yoga classes.
In her yoga practice Jeanene offers students the ability to find healthy, productive ways to find body awareness and center themselves in their own practices. Translating this into the dance world; her goal is to help students increase in self confidence and awareness to how their breath, movement and muscle structure all connect as they build strength, balance and stamina to improve in their dance technique. Learning to calm the mind, reduce stress and build resiliency all while strengthening the core muscles that promote a safe and successful dance practice.
Jeanene also has a passion for mental health and wellness! She loves to share that passion with those around her through promoting positive self-care, so we can be both physically and mentally healthy. She is an advocate for embracing your whole self and teaches the empowering spirit of gratitude.
Outside of the studio Jeanene and her Husband Tim enjoy hiking and enjoying the beauties of nature with their 3 teenage children. One of her favorite self-care routines is to relax in the hammock on her back porch and listen to audio books. She is active in community work focused on youth substance use and suicide prevention. Besides teaching fitness classes Jeanene also works in the field of Mental and Behavioral Health.
