Anna Ceperley began her dance training at MelRoe’s School of Dance in 2002. Even though she started her dance career later than most, it has been a passion of hers since a very young age. Anna's love of dance still continues today. She loves seeing her students achieve technical excellence, grow in confidence, perform, and have fun while in the studio and on stage. She loves to see her students learn the art of movement and expression that only dance can provide. Anna's dance career came full circle when she became a teacher with MelRoe's School of Dance in 2011. She teaches ballet, contemporary, demi dancers, tiny tots, and tumble tykes.
Anna received a diploma from Missouri State University with a BFA in Dance Performance in 2010. Throughout her dance training, Anna has studied jazz, ballet, modern, musical theatre, tap, creative movement, labanotation, and dance improv. Anna was involved with Inertia Dance Company as a dancer and choreographer which traveled all over the mid-west to perform. She has studied under Jana Anderson, Ruth Barnes, Kelly Bixby, Sara Brummel, Julie Bubalo, and Darryl Clark. While attending Missouri State, Anna got the privilege of taking master classes with Ailey II, Momix, Robert Wechler, American College Dance Festival Association and Step Africa. Anna also spent a semester in Orlando, Florida working as an entertainer for Walt Disney World. Anna continues her dance education by attending dance conventions each year, reading dance pedagogy, studying the latest dance movements, and continually working on her own technique and strength as a dancer. She believes that a dancer should never stop learning and growing themselves.
Anna is married to Devin and together they have three children: Violet, Scarlett, and Dean. They also have a cat, Lukas, and a Goldendoodle, Lucy. While not at the studio, Anna stays home to love on her children and is an Independent Consultant with Arbonne International. Anna is very excited to see the love of dance growing in her girls. The next adventure will be for both Violet and Scarlett to attend classes with MelRoe's. There is no other place she would want for her daughters to learn and grow than from the MelRoe's dance family.
